When to use unattended access
Unattended access lets you connect to a machine that no one is sitting at — a server, a signage PC, a lab box. Instead of a one-time code, the target uses a fixed password you set.
Enable it on the target
On the machine you want to reach, open RustDesk and set a permanent password under the security settings. Note the device ID.
Install RustDesk as a service so it starts at boot and is available before anyone logs in.
Keep it safe
Use a long, unique password per machine and rotate it on staff changes. Pair unattended access with your self-hosted relay so the connection never leaves your network.
